I very rarely have my hair cut on a regular basis. In fact, I tend to go an entire year before getting it trimmed. The reason is because hair stylists are too greedy and charge an insane amount of money just to take off my split ends. I'm not even asking for them to wash it! Just trim the ends a bit, that's all. What's really insane is how unbalanced the prices are when it comes to genders. Oh so a boy or a man can get a trim for only $12 but I, being a woman, must pay $30!!! WTF! Let me say that again. What The FUCK! I told the barber (that's what she called herself) that all I wanted was a slight trim and she said I still had to pay $30. So I just walked out the door, grabbed my own pair of scissors, and trimmed my own hair.
It wasn't easy but I managed to take off most of the split ends. The ends of my 'do were already a bit layered so I wasn't too afraid of making it uneven yet nervous enough to not be too courageous. I'm happy with the outcome and am now an avid do-it-yourselfer. That's right, no more paying a ridiculous amount of money for a service I'm not even getting. Ef, that!
